Addressing the rising concern of substance abuse, Chief Minister emphasized that cough syrup is being misused for intoxication rather than medicinal purposes. The Central Government has already discussed the issue with State Chief Secretaries and DGPs, aiming to make India drug-free by 2029. The CM urged the government, intellectuals, and the general public to work together to create widespread awareness and eliminate the drug menace from society.
