The official, identified as Umashankar Biswal, allegedly demanded the money from a local villager for processing a land partition suit. Following a complaint, a team led by Keonjhar Vigilance DSP and Balasore Vigilance Inspector conducted the trap and seized the bribe money. Currently, authorities are scrutinizing important documents at his office as part of the ongoing investigation into the matter.
