A herd of 5-6 elephants entered Damodarpur and Kakaband villages under Rasgobindpur range late last night, causing widespread destruction. The elephants damaged the local Anganwadi center and destroyed essential food supplies, including rice. Several houses were also partially demolished. Forest Officer Ghanshyam Singh assured that government assistance and compensation will be provided to the affected families. Authorities have urged villagers to remain extremely vigilant during the night to ensure safety.
