According to the complaint filed by Niradananda Nanda, the accused—Santosh Mahapatra and Debakanta Mahapatra—lured him to invest in the Anima Complex project with promises of a 40% partnership and profit sharing. However, after collecting the massive sum, only Rs 95.50 lakh was returned, leaving a balance of over Rs 3.40 crore. The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter, including the suspected role of the account manager.
