In the Talabasta Panchayat of Banki-Dampara block, over four feet of floodwater from the Rana river (a tributary of the Mahanadi) is currently flowing over the Talabasta-Bilipada road. The strong water current has completely halted transportation and communication in the region, causing significant distress to the residents of low-lying areas. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as water levels continue to pose a threat.
